Bal Gangadhar Tilak charged with sedition
July 3rd 1908, Bal Gangadhar Tilak was arrested for sedition by the British, After trial, he was sentenced to six years' transportation to Mandalay Jail, Burma (Now Myanmar).

Shimla Agreement
July 2, 1972 Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Pakistani President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto signed Shimla Treaty which contained principles which should govern future relations between both countries.
